Enjoy the view of the most beautiful lake in North America, Lake Louise. Take a gondola ride along the picturesque lake.

LE CHATEAU MONTEBELLO

If you like the call of the wild, but the call involves a spa and boutiques, then the chateau is for you, and for skiers. If fact, the lift comes right to the hotel door. The charming mountain village has restaurant sandwich shops. The chateau is the worldxs largest lodge, made of hand-hewn logs and native stone, with mullioned windows and lofty gables. After your outdoor experience, settle down in the 3-story atrium. Choose a wing chair by the 6-sided fireplace and warm your toes.

Choose a cozy cabin in the preserve of Kenauk adjacent to the hotel. Paddle from shore to shore in a canoe or take a hike in the woods. The preserve is a 100 square mile reserve, where you can also play tennis, cross-country ski. There is also a full service spa at the hotel.

After a day of hiking, relax at the lodge in front of a fireplace, savior a delightful meal and plan the next day. Choose from a variety of hiking trails ranging from 30 minutes to 8 hours, all from your door. Paddle around the lake. There is an abundance of alpine, flora and fauna, mountain peaks, deep blue lakes and timeless glaciers.

Rooms: All rooms have spectacular views of the lake, mountains and glaciers. Open June 1 through October 2. There are 4 types of accommodations, cabins, lodge rooms, Wenkchemna Wing rooms and a Honeymoon suite. All rooms have private balconies; custom made furniture and magnificent views.

Lodge Double:  Balcony rooms, with 2 double beds, full bath, adjoining rooms.

Twin Cabin:  Fireplace, balcony, 2 twin beds, and full bath sitting area.

King Cabin:  Fireplace, balcony, king sized bed, sitting area. There are 18 cabins in all, with sunken living areas and fireplaces.

Wenkchemna Wing:  Fireplace, balcony, queen-size bed, and full bath. There are 8 rooms in all.

Honeymoon Suite:
  Balcony, fireplace, king size bed, sitting area, Jacuzzi tub. There is only one suite.

Activities:  canoe and boat rentals, gift shop, guide hikes, on site naturalist, concierge, dining.



THE CROSSING RESORT

The Crossing has 66 motel rooms with great mountain views, and one of the best values in the park. Most rooms are 2 double beds, private bath, separate vanity, satellite TV and phone. The family rooms have double beds, single bed and double hide-a-bed sofa sleeping a maximum of 5.

Each room has its own deck and bench seating. The W facing rooms view Mount Murchison and Mount Sarbach. The E facing rooms see Mount Wilson.

RUNDLE RIDGE CHALETS

The chalets are located near the scenic beauty of Banff, just outside the park entrance. The chalets feature 37 cedar chalets, from studio to 3-bedroom units, on 5 wooded acres. The chalets sleep from 3-7 per night. All are open year around. Equipped with kitchenettes, wood-burning fireplaces, color-cable TV, and all are winterized for cross-country skiing.
